Munich – Double change with the “Rosenheim Cops”: In the 23rd season, which has been filming since mid-March and will probably be broadcast from autumn, two actresses will no longer be there: Sophie Melbinger (played investigator Birte Andresen) has Say goodbye to the series as well as Sevda Polat (played Ela Atay).

And the new investigator duo with Dieter Fischer (plays Anton Stadler) is Michaela Weingartner as Chief Inspector Julia Beck.

Weingartner from Munich, born in 1990, is not a blank slate: she was last seen for months on "Sturm der Liebe", where Merle Finow embodied it.

"Rosenheim Cops" star raves about the newcomer: "FC Bayern could learn a lesson"

In the ARD series "Sturm der Liebe" she had also been closely followed by her current colleague Christian K. Schaeffer (in the "Rosenheim Cops" he plays "Times Square" host Jo Caspar).

The 57-year-old was knocked out of his socks when he heard that Weingartner was joining the ZDF series.

And the creators managed to get her to act as the main actress for the "Rosenheim Cops".

"I secretly thought to myself: It's surprising that they let them go in the 'Sturm'," Schaeffer told tz.de.

Schaeffer has already had one or two days of shooting with Weingartner and is enthusiastic: "I think that the new colleague is a great choice, a really great one.

I found them sensational in 'Storm of Love'.” In general, the newcomers “fit in well”.

Incidentally, the "Rosenheim cops" are not completely new territory for Weingartner: she has appeared in episode roles several times, including the feature-length winter special "Schussfahrt into den Tod", where she played murder suspect Eva Franzl.
