Upon closing, the coordinator of the surveillance service of the museum site, in carrying out the inspection tour, realizes what has happened and notifies the Director Maffei, who in turn informs the Carabinieri of the Company of Caserta, who carry out the surveys and acquire images from the video surveillance system.
Through the videos, the soldiers of the Arma manage to trace the man's identikit.
With traditional investigative activities, the carabinieri of the operational section of the Compagnia di Caserta, within a few days, thus manage to identify the perpetrator of the theft, who is tracked down and blocked and then subjected to a house search, during which the the precious tile, which the 42-year-old had cataloged and kept inside a plastic bag.
