Pensions: the socialists will table a bill to repeal the 64 years

2023-04-17T07:13:23.650Z

The party's first secretary, Olivier Faure, wants the text to be signed by as many parliamentarians as possible.

The oppositions had warned: the decision of the Constitutional Council validating the essence of the pension reform does not put an end to the dispute.

The approach of the Socialists is proof of this, since the first secretary of the party, Olivier Faure, has expressed their desire to submit a bill to the National Assembly and the Senate.

This will propose to repeal the 64 years, whose law was promulgated on Friday evening.

On the initiative of the rose party, this text will be discussed Tuesday in an intergroup meeting of the Nupes to "

see who is ready to add to it

", according to the explanations of the guest deputy on Public Senate this Monday morning.

"

I want us to have as many forces as possible from the signatures

," he said, thus opening up to the support of parliamentarians going beyond the left alliance.

Once the consultations have been carried out, the PPL, “

already drafted

”, will be tabled in the two Chambers.

On the side of the Insoumis, the proposal to file a new motion of censure was also formulated.

Olivier Faure is not against it, but believes that the intergroup must have a “

discussion

” on this subject.

He could support her, “

on one condition;

it is that it makes it possible to consolidate a minimum balance of power which is that of the last time

”.

The last motion, brought by MP Liot Charles de Courson, was rejected by only nine votes.

But if it is "

less well voted, it would weaken the challenge

".
