Los Fabulosos Cadillacs rocked the stage of the Outdoor Theater with their energy, this Sunday, on the third day of the Coachella Festival, in California, with a suitable repertoire for this meeting in which they string together a series of successful compositions such as Matador, perhaps their
biggest
hit which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023, with
Vasos vacíos
,
Siguiendo la luna
and
Mal Bicho
, among others.
An audience that vibrated with the band made it clear, once again, that Los Fabulosos Cadillacs continue to be one of the most influential groups in Latin America after their successful tour of Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Costa Rica, which concludes with their appearance at the Coachella mega event, at the Empire Polo Club, in Indio, California.
The band led by Gabriel Fernández Capello - much better known as Vicentico - and Flavio Cianciarulo, showed their usual power and the combination with the new blood embodied by the sons of the founding duo, Florián Fernández Capello and Astor Cianciarulo.

The opening of the show was with the instrumental Cadillacs, and then followed -in order- The lion, Too much pressure, Empty glasses, The dub genius, Following the moon, Mal Bicho, Matador, The satanic Dr. Cadillac, to close with 5th Centenary.

The stylistic breadth of the Coachella festival had two of its strongest moments with the performances this Saturday by the Korean female group
Blackpink
and the Catalan singer
Rosalía
.
Becoming the first Asian artists to headline this festival, one of the most important in the United States, the quartet showed the strength of their “hallyu” (the Korean wave), the trademark of this pop group that was received by a euphoric audience.
Are you ready Coachella?
Enjoy.
This is your day”, Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa said in chorus to start a show that included music, dancing, costume changes and fireworks.
The young women performed some of their hits in line with the expectations of the audience;
songs like
How You Like It
,
Pretty Savage
,
Forever Young
and
Ice Cream
left the audience in a state of absolute happiness during a two-hour show.

For example, Nina, 26, who traveled from Los Angeles with nine friends to see this group said: "I like Blackpink because each one of them is authentic and different and that is not usual in k-pop" .
Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro
A few hours before.
Rosalía had prepared the public for a powerful afternoon with her music and dance show and her presence as a special guest of her boyfriend,
Rauw Alejandro
.
They adopted sensuality as an expressive vehicle while they interpreted
Beso
and
Vampiro
, two of their three collaborations and which belong to their joint project RR.

But hits such as Motomami
,
El mal querer
,
Saoko
and
Despechá
were also present in the repertoire
, the song most chanted by the public in their presentation.
Rosalía showed her quite renewed show compared to the one she developed in 2022 on her world tour.
From frenzy and dogging to tears
, that was the transition from a solid, powerful concert without ups and downs and her second performance at this Californian festival.
Another of the highlights of the festival was the performance by
Charli XCX
with her electronic and futuristic pop that closed the afternoon of the second day, last Saturday.
Indeed, the British singer made
Blame It On You Own
and her success from Tik Tok,
Unlock It
and she dedicated this moment to celebrate the LGBTQ + community, which she supports from social networks.

“
This song is for my gay people, I love you
,” Charli XCX expressed before singing
Boys
.
Another group that supported this collective was The Linda Lindas, but from a more combative punk though certainly cheerful.
The group spoke out against racism and guns.
