The sacristan of the parish of St. Georg, Korbinian Schwind, and the undertaker Isabella Forster (Bestattungen Karl Denk) have put together an extraordinary project for the confirmands of the parish association.
In preparation for the third sacrament, ten young people were allowed to transform two coffins into individual works of art with brushes and paints under the title “The sky bears colors”.

What impressed and touched Korbinian Schwind: "A girl immediately remembered a saying from her grandfather's death picture and then wrote it on the coffin." Although Schwind and Forster had expected some questions on the subject of dying, the confirmands tended to get together in this regard Conversation – which made both of them happy.
Because that is also a concern of the campaign, namely to bring death back more into the center of society.
"Dying is just a part of life, just like birth," emphasizes Schwind.
And one thing is clear for the two initiators: "We want to do it again next year".
After the two coffins with the colorful farewell greetings - a donation from Freising's funeral aid Denk - were exhibited in the town church, they are temporarily stored and are then to be used for a good cause.
"If a coffin cannot be paid for because the money is missing or a child dies, we will simply offer it," explains Schwind.
