In his speech at the ceremony, he paid tribute to him: "On my behalf and on behalf of the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council, I send my condolences to Gabriel's family, may you never know any more sorrow. Gabi was one of the oldest residents of the council, even before it was established. The fascinating story of his life did not leave a single dry eye. May his memory be blessed blessed".
