Bad Tölz – A cell phone triggered a fire alarm in Bad Tölz on Tuesday morning.
According to the police, a 37-year-old patient at the Schlemmer Clinic plugged in his Samsung cell phone in his room for charging.
At around 4:20 a.m. he noticed that the device suddenly started to smoke.

Patient throws smoking device onto the balcony
According to the police, he was still able to throw the smoking device onto the balcony, but the fire alarm system had already been triggered.
The clinic was evacuated by the staff after the alarm was automatically triggered.
The fire brigade ventilated the patient's room.
Luckily no one is injured
Luckily no one was injured.
The material damage incurred amounts to around 200 euros.
The eleven firefighters were on site for about half an hour.
Police and ambulance were on duty.
