A new season of the reality show De tal madre, tal astilla premieres on TLC. Sunhe and Angelica, two of the protagonists, spoke with Clarín.

Where all possible limits seem to vanish, the protagonists of the reality show “

Like mother, like splinter

” appear.

The TLC program shows the peculiar bonds of some mothers with their daughters and in each episode unusual situations can be seen, ranging from shared appointments to the total invisibility of the partners of those daughters.

Sunhe

(mother) and

Angelica

(daughter) are two of the leads.

While from the outside their relationship goes far beyond attachment and has everything that could be defined as toxic, for them it is a "beautiful bond" that they are not willing to change.

Throughout its different seasons there were deeply questioned chapters where, for example, both women bathed together.

In others, it was observed that both slept in the same bed and even that Sunhe did not approve of her daughter's relationship and ordered her what to do.

Two more members joined this inseparable dyad: Jason, Angelica's husband, and Amara, their daughter.

The day to day, thus, became more complex.

Not only is the role of mother at stake, but also that of grandmother.

"How can we not consider the beautiful bond we share healthy?" Sunhe and Angelica wonder.

"How can we not consider the beautiful bond we share healthy?"

The family picture is as follows: Angelica and Sunhe share everything, from their bank account to their bath water.

Meanwhile, faced with Jason's hesitancy to marry and her mother's disapproval of the match, Angelica called off her wedding.

What's more: Sunhe dreams of

raising Angelica's newborn baby

, Amara, next to her daughter, to which Jason refuses.

In this context, tensions reach such a critical point that Sunhe gives her son-in-law an impossible ultimatum: if he leaves, he will take Angelica and Amara with her.

Despite how striking it is for the rest of the people, for these women there is nothing to rethink.

When asked if they consider that they maintain a healthy relationship, her response to

Clarín

was forceful: “Of course!

How can we not consider the beautiful bond we share healthy?

Love surrounds us at all times because that's what our relationship is all about."

To define their union, they even dared to go beyond the earthly: “We are spiritually connected.

Our bond will remain even after this life ends," they said ahead of the premiere of the new season.

no limits in sight

One of the most evident points in this mother-daughter relationship is the continuous transgression of their roles and responsibilities.

“Our love has no limits.

We would do anything for each other because the love we share is unconditional."

"My mother can do whatever she pleases when it comes to helping raise Amara," Angelica said. Photo Instagram.

So much so that even the role of the father of the youngest member of the clan is blurred.

Along these lines, Angelica assured: “My mother can do whatever she pleases when it comes to helping raise Amara, as long as I have the last word.

Usually Jason doesn't care.

Well, I'm not sure, actually."

And she went even further by adding: "

My mom and I are her parents

."

When consulting both of them about the possible effects that this type of attitude can generate in the rest of the family, they did not hesitate to support their conduct: “Our loved ones understand that

our relationship is first and most important

.

From day one they were aware of how important our bond was.”

That bond and intimacy that makes the rest uncomfortable is for them an example that they intend to replicate with the following generations.

About repeating Sunhe's parenting model, Angelica concluded, “If I become a fraction of the woman and mother she is, then my life mission is complete.”

The new season of Such a Mother, Such a Splinter premieres on Monday, April 24 at 8:20 on TLC.
