Dozens of mayors from across the political spectrum in Israel signed a public letter calling for the sanctity of Memorial Day and to honor the families of the bereaved

The Chairman of the Local Government Center, the Mayor of Jerusalem, the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Jaffa and over 115 heads of authorities from all sectors in a call to the public to preserve the sanctity of Memorial Day: The public is called upon to act with reverence, mutual guarantee, cohesion and unity on this holy day and to stand by the bereaved families and for Remembrance of the Fallen



Haim Bibbs, Chairman of the Local Government Center: On Remembrance Day, in cemeteries and in ceremonies throughout the country, we will honor the fallen whose death commanded us to live in the Land of Israel.

We will unite around the bereaved families and make sure to give them the respect they deserve.



The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon: "The Day of Remembrance for the Fallen of Israel's systems and the victims of hostilities is a holy day in which we are all united. Together with all the heads of the authorities in the country and the heads of the forums, I call on all citizens of Israel to stop on this day. Stop the divisive discourse and unite behind the bereaved families who have lost You are the most precious to them for the sake of the lives of all of us.
