Militant tags on historical monuments, an attempt to burn down a police station, burnt trash cans... A week after the promulgation of the pension reform bill by Emmanuel Macron, the destructive anger of the people of Bordeaux does not weaken.

After a wild demonstration during the presidential address on Monday, opponents of the Elysée's policy demonstrated again on Thursday.

This time on the grounds of the International Day of Action of Railway Workers.

The day after these two processions, one of which was undeclared, the Gironde prefecture drew up a provisional assessment of the damage.

The first demonstration, unannounced, started on the forecourt of Saint Jean station at noon Thursday.

250 people gathered at the call of the Gironde inter-union, including the dockers of Bordeaux.

Accustomed to being heard with firecrackers in processions, the profession has confirmed its taste for explosives.

This time, it is a doll with the effigy of the head of state, placed on the rails of the tram, that they have chosen to disintegrate.

A sequence carried out by a few dozen individuals "

demanding

"

which led to a disruption of traffic from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., specifies the prefecture.

Shortly after, these demonstrators led to a total closure of the station because of the projectiles they launched in the direction of the internal security forces (ISF).

A few hours later, a second procession responding to the call of Sud-PTT and CGT-FAPT, marched through town from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in accordance with announcements made in the prefecture.

If no incident was recorded on the declared route, the dispersal of the hundred demonstrators was again more complex.
