The anticipation is great among the 180 members: In less than a month, the Fraunberg volunteer fire brigade will be celebrating its founding party on the occasion of its 150th birthday, for five days.

Advance sales and registration for a few events are already underway.

Fraunberg – There will be a lot of celebrations from Wednesday, May 17th to Sunday, May 21st.

The founding of the military in 1873 is attested by a founding document in the Munich State Archives.

The jubilee association celebrates the anniversary with many fire brigades and the Fraunberg local associations.

Preparations are already in full swing.

The firefighters are already hard at work transforming the hall at the von Fraunberg family on Schlossstraße into a decorative festival hall.

The host is the Wartenberg restaurateur Anton Müller.

"We firefighters serve the festival beer from the Erdinger Brauhaus ourselves," says Chairman Georg Atzberger.

The celebrations begin on Wednesday, May 17 at 5 p.m. with a symbolic wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial for the club members who have died.

This is followed by the official beer tapping at the Fraunberger Rathausplatz, where 50 liters of free beer, donated by the patron, Mayor Hans Wiesmaier, will be served.

After moving into the festival hall, the Watt tournament begins at 7 p.m.

You can register for this by sending an email to 150years@feuerwehr-fraunberg.de.

The first prize is an autumn festival table in the wheat beer tent in Erding for ten people including 20 masses and ten chickens, and the second prize is tickets for the GOP Varieté Theater in Munich including a menu.

Thursday is Father's Day or Ascension Day, from 12.30 p.m. after lunch there is a big meeting of the district firecrackers.

Bavarian entertainment music will be provided from 4 p.m.

Friday begins at 1 p.m. with the district’s senior citizens’ afternoon.

From 6 p.m. the wine festival takes place with the party band Groove Garage, and there is also a large bar.

The Lower Bavarian joke cabaret artist Fonse Doppelhammer will provide an entertaining evening on Saturday from 7 p.m.

Tickets for 24 euros can already be secured at www.okticket.de or for 22.50 euros at the VR-Bank Fraunberg during regular ticket office opening hours.

On the festive Sunday, May 21, the 17 clubs, guests of honor and citizens, after eating white sausage, will go to the festive service at 10 a.m. with Pastor Richard Greul and Deacon Christian Pastötter at the community center in the center of town.

This is followed by lunch together in the festival hall with speeches and handing over of the commemorative gifts.

The Wartenberger Marktkapelle will play for entertainment.
