Meir Ben Dror together with Sahar Halutzi perform a vocal cover version of Matt Dove's hit, originally sung by Benny Friedman and Mordechai Shapira - "Lahi Olim".
Sahar and Meir met in the vocal group Bitdus and now they are performing a duet for the first time.
As an expert in vocal singing, Ben Dror accustomed his listeners to expect a new vocal work every Omer period or between straits, "This year, I considered all kinds of possibilities for songs / verses, until I received a call from Sahar...".
His duet partner suggested "Lahi Olim", but at first he had trouble connecting.
"Sahar took me in a new direction: a contemporary, rhythmic and happy song - but it's not the kind of thing I'm used to singing. It wasn't until I heard the song a few times that I realized there was an opportunity to do something new."

The two began learning the roles in the song, brainstorming and yes, creating something different of themselves.
"It was interesting for me to sing together with Sahar, I liked the combination of our voice tones together. The performance brought out other vocal abilities in me, and in retrospect - I really liked the result."
Winning horses don't change, and this time too, the excellent Jewish vocal singing mentor Yonatan Stern was recruited, who processed the song and made it even more interesting.
"In the days after Pesach - the holiday of freedom, we enter a period in which mourning customs must be followed. However, it is important to remember to be happy, especially in times like this, to live in faith and joy and connect, because joy is strength. Take a happy rhythmic song that expresses optimism and faith and perform it together with a friend, this It's fun and exciting to give this gift - together - to the people of Israel," says Meir.
