Yulia Lieberman, a lone 21-year-old soldier, was found dead last month in her apartment in Kiryat.

Yesterday (Wednesday) an indictment was filed against Zerbail "Zorik" Aivazov, who was in an intimate relationship with the young female soldier, for committing sexual offenses against nine different women.

Now, the soldier's parents demand an investigation into Aivazov's involvement in the young woman's death, "We want to know the findings of the investigation, she did not plan suicide, we want to know what happened."

On March 8, Yulia "Yuli" Lieberman was found lifeless in her apartment.

The 44-year-old Aivazov, for whom the female soldier worked as a flower seller at the same time as managing an ongoing intimate relationship, was the one who called the MDA forces to her apartment. The team that arrived determined Lieberman's death on the spot, and the police determined that it was a suicide.

Some time later, Aivazov was summoned to a police station in Zebulon to testify about the incident.

There, one of the female police officers at the station recognized him as someone who had previously raped her for years.

This led to the arrest of Aivazov and the revelation of an affair of numerous sexual offenses committed by the accused.

According to the indictment, between the years 2016-2023, Aivazov employed girls and young women aged 15-21 on weekends selling flowers at entertainment venues.

At the time of their employment, Aivazov is accused of having committed rape, sodomy, indecent acts and sexual harassment as a young woman.

As part of their employment, Aivazov paid the young women a salary of hundreds of shekels per evening and ordered them to walk around in the evening and at night until early morning in various places of entertainment, with make-up and dressed in dresses or short skirts and to offer flowers for payment.

Some of the girls were found in Israel alone without the presence and support of family members, most of them stayed in boarding schools, and all of them experienced financial hardship.

However, the indictment does not refer at all to the death of the soldier Yulia Lieberman, despite the fact that she was employed by him for a period of time.

Lieberman was born in the city of Tyumen in Western Siberia, and was an excellent student.

If she had finished her studies in Russia, she would have won a gold medal.

While still a teenager, Lieberman immigrated to Israel in the "Nala" program of the Jewish Agency, and arrived alone in Israel.

Lieberman studied at the Nahalel-Tech school in the "Anier" program, intended for outstanding students in the field of science and engineering.

A program described as "a habitat for the inventors and innovators of the future" and intended for gifted youth who wish to study at an advanced level.

From there, Lieberman continued her IDF reserve studies at the Technion, where she trained as an engineer, and then began her military service at the Iron Dome battery in the north. Her family said that Lieberman wanted an even more challenging role, and at her request she was transferred to the soldier's Ramat David base.

The base where she served said that they did not know of anything that clouded her mood.

Soldiers who served with her said that she loved order and cleanliness very much.

The findings of the investigation also revealed that when she was found dead in her apartment, the forces found her uniform, carefully ironed, with all the pins and symbols attached as required, and ready to go to the base in the morning.

Her family said that on the same day she talked in the family WhatsApp group, sent pictures and said that everything was fine.

They also shared that soon they were supposed to go on a family vacation in Thailand, which was planned at Yulia's request, and that her parents were supposed to come especially from Russia.

"We at least want to know what the findings of the investigation are, because we unequivocally claim that she did not plan suicide," said Yulia's parents, Tatiana and Igor Lieberman, "There were no signs of any mental trauma, stress, anything. We want to know what It happened on the evening of March 7. The one who should investigate it is the police."

Lieberman's parents also claimed that during their visit to the apartment after the police investigation, it appeared that whoever was in the apartment recently drank an entire bottle of whiskey and smoked a pack of cigarettes.

They only learned about their daughter's relationship with Aivazov in retrospect.

"She hid it from everyone, both family and friends," said the father Igor, "obviously she understood that it was not a good relationship. She wanted to end the relationship, and even turned to his wife so that she would influence him. She promised her that everything would stop."

According to the father, the relationship between Yulia and Ibezov may have started as romantic, but quickly turned violent.

"It started as falling in love, but then he started beating her. The neighbors heard screams, she would lock herself in the apartment and he would bang on the door. She would tell her best friends that she wanted to end this relationship and break up with him, but he wouldn't let her."

The father also adds the possibility that Aivazov's wife, who knew about their relationship, was involved in Yulia's death.

"One way or another, he is connected to Yulia's death, directly or indirectly. Unequivocally," said the father.

"This is my only daughter, by what right did this creature take my daughter from me?", the mother Tatiana mourned, "It is unlikely that I will have new children, he took the last one from me, I will not have grandchildren, this is my life, he can do what he wants with His, why did he decide that I have the right to interfere in my life, to take the life of the person I gave birth to and raised."

"We claim that this is a case in which the alleged suspect murdered their daughter," said lawyer Tami Ullman, who represents the parents, to Judge Nitzan Silman during a hearing on the prosecution's request to arrest Zorik Aivazov until the end of the proceedings.

"The police did not investigate or check, even though complaints were submitted by the family. The family gave names of witnesses who could testify in the investigation about this matter, and even then the police did nothing," said the lawyer.

Attorney Ullman added and described the dysfunction of the institutions that were entrusted with the investigation of the case.

I also contacted the police who investigated, who were supposed to investigate.

They referred me to the police, who were supposed to investigate, but the police don't know who in the police is supposed to investigate.

This is the Israel Police and this is the State of Israel."

Also, the lawyer said that she wants to be present, along with Yula's parents, at the trial against Aivazov on charges of rape.

This is "to know what was in other cases and to hire a private investigator on our behalf."

However, the judge ordered the doors to be closed to continue the hearings and they were forced to leave the courtroom.

"I do not express an opinion regarding the alleged connection between the accused and the tragic death, but at this time, I have no evidentiary infrastructure in front of me and the existence of an investigation or the absence of it is not put before me."

The judge stated, "The members of the family have no standing in the proceedings before me. Since I ordered the closing of the doors by force of law, the members of the deceased's family have no standing and I share in their grief."

The Israel Police said: "The investigation into Lieberman's death is being conducted at the Zebulon police station in cooperation with the investigating military police.

The investigation is conducted thoroughly and all claims are examined as part of the investigation.

We will continue to investigate the case thoroughly in order to arrive at the truth."
