Christophe Galtier launched a libel suit after an email was leaked in which he allegedly complained about managing a team "full of blacks and Muslims" when he was at Nice.

For just over a week the technical director of Paris Saint-Germain,

Christophe Galtier

, has been questioned in the French media.

Unlike other opportunities, it is not about the football level that the Parisian team maintains, but rather it is due to the accusations that classify it as racist after an email sent by the former leader of Nice Julien Fournier to said club was

leaked

. where he affirmed that Galtier treated

the players he trained during his stay in the team from the south of France as

"blacks" .

As a result of the accusations received, the French coach

denounced the journalists

who spread the particular situation.

"He went to a restaurant (Galtier) and everyone jumped on him, assuring that the team was full of blacks," reveals a part of the text sent by the RMC Sport journalist Julien Fournier

to the club

.

According to the email that the former leader of Nice sent to the club authorities, Galtier would have commented that "he had to realize that

the team did not correspond to the city

or to what the people were asking for" and that there could not be "so many

blacks and Muslims within the team

."

After the statements made by Fournier, and the accusation of his colleague Romain Molina, the international press echoed the statements he would have made in 2021 when he was managing Nice in France.

Nine days after that accusation, the French coach who has led PSG since July 2022 denounced the journalists

Daniel Riolo

(RMC Sport) and

Romain Molina

(independent), and the former Nice football director

 Julien Fournier

for defamation .

"We want this unacceptable situation to stop

," said

Olivier Martin

, his lawyer.

As the AFP news agency was able to make known, the Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the receipt of a complaint from Galtier against

hate on the internet for the death threats

received.

As of this Friday, the Prosecutor's Office will have three months to open proceedings for these complaints.

The situation recounted by Fournier that compromises Galtier

"Christophe Galtier then entered my office and greeted his son, who told him 'you can check with my father what I have told you' (Galtier's son is a player agent and had also spoken with Fournier to comment on the coach's words ): Once his agent/son left, I told Galtier about the conversation I had just had and asked him if it was true, he answered yes and that he had to take into account the existing reality in the city, and indeed

We couldn't have as many blacks and Muslims on the team

."

"He went to a restaurant (Galtier) and everyone jumped on him, assuring that the team was full of blacks."

In addition, Galtier would have commented that "he had to realize that the team did not correspond to the city or to what the people were asking for."

However, this was not the only accusation that Fournier made against the DT who leads Kylian Mbappe, but at the end of last year he also pointed against Galtier when talking about the reasons why the coach ended up leaving Nice: "

If I explain the real reasons

why we fought, because that is really the word, Christophe Galtier

will never enter a dressing room again, neither in France nor in Europe

(...) He was indirectly related to football. They touch deeply."
