The "Fridays for Future" movement also demonstrated in Berlin.
The initiatives accuse the governing party of failure to achieve climate protection goals and a “climate policy blockade” within the federal government.

Climate activists from the Last Generation group spray-painted several luxury shops on Berlin's Ku'damm around 10am.
They sprayed the orange color on the shop windows and facades with fire extinguishers on Saturday morning, as a dpa reporter observed on site.
"We can no longer afford the rich" was also on the group's posters, as well as "Your luxury = our climate collapse".
On Sunday (April 23) a rally of the "Last Generation" is planned at the Brandenburg Gate, from Monday there will be a standstill.
"We protest and motivate others to participate and join," the group's website said.
More than 1000 people have now registered on the initiative's website.

There, the "Last Generation" also provides information on accommodation, protest training and information on legal consequences for the participants.

"The actions will be carried out in many places and for so long until those responsible for politics either meet the demand or further implementation seems disproportionate or even impossible," it said.
A few months ago, a YouTube video by the initiative showed a similar campaign on the A2.

reported, the A100, A111 and A113 city motorways were particularly popular targets for the “last generation” during past protests around Berlin.
