The six Leopard tanks promised by Spain to Ukraine left by sea on Friday evening and will reach their destination in the coming days, according to statements by Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles.

The Leopards (...) as well as about twenty transport vehicles, have embarked in the port of Santander (north) and are heading for Ukraine, where they will arrive in five to six days
", specified Mrs. Robles to the journalists.

There are four other Leopards in repair and when that is done, they will also go to Ukraine
,” added the minister.
Madrid had announced the sending of these tanks as part of the aid from European countries to Ukraine engaged against the Russian offensive.
After resisting Russian attacks on the eastern front all winter, the Ukrainian forces are preparing a counter-offensive for the spring or summer.
