The premises of a company specializing in the cabling of telephone networks near Ajaccio were set on fire during the night of Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 April and a
tag of the clandestine group Gjhuventu clandestina corsa (GCC, "Clandestine Corsican Youth"
) found on places, AFP learned from a judicial source.
An investigation was opened for destruction of property by dangerous means and the national anti-terrorist prosecutor's office took up the case because of the discovery of a "
GCC
" tag on the facade of the targeted hangar, said the Ajaccio prosecutor's office.

Several cars and equipment were destroyed in the fire
," said the prosecution, confirming a break-in at the door of the company's hangar, located in Sarrola-Carcopino on the outskirts of Ajaccio.
The alert was given at 12:15 a.m.
Firefighters battled for more than three hours to put out the blaze and the scene was still under surveillance Sunday morning.

The acronym
"GCC"
, which appeared in August 2022, was then found at the scene of a series of fires mainly targeting second homes, buildings under construction, construction companies and tourist establishments.
The creation of the clandestine group, presenting itself as "
the armed wing of a revolutionary movement
", was announced by press release in February.
He then claimed responsibility for the arson of the town halls of Afa and Appietto, on the outskirts of Ajaccio, and of a house belonging to a deputy mayor of Ajaccio.
But a new statement then sowed confusion, claiming that GCC had been the victim
of "usurpers
" who had "
claimed
" some of its shares, raising the possibility of a possible split.
