After Spain, France?
An exceptional heat wave for the season will affect our neighbors from this Tuesday, April 25 and until the weekend, arriving from the south of the peninsula before heading north.
Temperatures above 30 degrees, up to 40 locally, are expected across the country at the peak of this heatwave on Thursday and Friday.
But it should remain generally confined to the other side of the Pyrenees.
"
It's not going to go up so much in France
," says Régis Crépet, forecaster at La Chaîne Météo*.
Only the south-west, south of the Garonne, should feel a rise in temperatures, around 25 degrees, disproportionate to what the Spaniards will experience.
In its alert published on Sunday, the Spanish meteorological agency AEMET also explains that only the extreme north of the peninsula will be spared, despite “abnormally high temperatures
[for the season], above 25 degrees
”.

Its grace, France owes it to the temperate air which must "
arrive from the north and bring this heat wave down to Spain
", explains Régis Crépet.
“
If this happened in the middle of summer, when fresh air is less likely to arise, we could have feared that it would go back to France.
