The people of the flat land spent 75 thousand NIS on an experiment that "accidentally" proved that the earth is round - voila! News

A researcher who supports the theory that our Earth is flat performed an experiment that was supposed to prove his theory but proved exactly the opposite - that the structure of our star is spherical. Watch his reaction to the experiment

The group of supporters of the theory that claims that the earth is flat and not round is only growing over the years.

The attempts to prove it are also increasing.

There have already been those who have tried to claim that the reason airplanes fly straight proves that the Earth is flat, but this claim was of course disproved when pilots testified that they had to constantly change their speed and altitude to adhere to the curve of the planet.

Others have denied that astronauts have visited space and have claimed that the footage from their cameras, which reflects the rounded shape of the Earth, is fake - even though there is a body of evidence available to prove its reliability.

No matter what - the believers are not ready to give up the idea.

One of them decided to carry out an experiment that was filmed for the Netflix documentary "Behind the Curve" (Behind the Curve) which follows the way of thinking of the supporters of the flat land.

Although the film was already released in 2018, only now the failed experiment has gone viral.

According to estimates, the people of the flat earth spent 20 thousand dollars (about 75 thousand shekels) on the production of the experiment designed to prove once and for all that the earth is flat.

This was their experiment

As part of the experiment, the researcher placed a camera in a dark room, designed to record the light beam that will pass through two holes in two parallel walls.

On the other side of the walls will stand a person with a flashlight and shine towards the camera through the holes.

The camera, the holes and the flashlight will be placed at a height of 5 meters from the ground and at a distance of 15 meters from the camera to the flashlight.

Now the results of the experiment are simple: if the light can be seen in the camera, it means that the flashlight, the holes in the walls and the camera are at equal distances above the ground and the obvious conclusion will be that our planet is flat.

If the light could not be seen in the camera and he would have to lift the flashlight for this to happen, the conclusion would be that the earth is round because the differences from the ground are different.

"If you look through this hole, through the next hole, and see the light, 5 meters above the surface of the water, the Earth is flat," says the researcher in the experiment, "however, if he holds it 7 meters high and only then do we see the light, well That's because the Earth is round. I should only be able to see the light when it's 5 meters high."

The results of the experiment

Guess what the results of the experiment were?

In a humorous and expensive twist, the light could indeed not be seen when it was placed 5 meters above the ground - at the height of the camera, causing the flat earth supporter to awkwardly mutter "interesting... very interesting".

After the video went viral, most of the comments included people who were shocked that the researcher refused to believe his eyes and continued to claim that his theory was correct.

"I'm sure he'll never get it," one wrote and another added: "It's so fun to see how his whole world view dissolves before his eyes."

Another viewer wrote: "I've watched this video so many times. How come he didn't give his explanation for this?".
