Margareta and Georg Meßner have been going through life together for 65 years.

Now they have celebrated their iron wedding.

Jesenwang – The Meßner family had something to celebrate: the iron wedding of Margareta and Georg Meßner.

The two have been going through life hand in hand for 65 years – and have always remained humble.

Thankful

“We are grateful for a completely normal life,” they say.

Experiencing everyday life together is important to them.

Getting up together, having breakfast, reading the daily newspaper – these are routines that we have come to love.

"Perhaps just the normal good togetherness is a prerequisite for a good marriage," says Georg Meßner.

“And the most important thing is love.

The rest comes all by itself.”

FFB newsletter.)

Both he and his wife grew up in Jesenwang.

You've "actually always known each other." At some point you just said: "Come on, let's get married".

Always busy

The marriage produced four children.

In the meantime, the family has grown by eight grandchildren.

The happy couple keeps good, regular contact with everyone.

"That's wonderful, it keeps us young," says Georg Meßner.

The children describe their parents as always hardworking.

They would have always supported the children and then the grandchildren.

The father is very skilled with his hands, the mother put a lot of value on a Christian life, says son Alexander Meßner.

The couple made trips to Rome, Lourdes, Fatima and Israel.

In addition to Mayor Erwin Fraunhofer, Werner Winkler, Chairman of TSV Jesenwang, also congratulated.

Meßner has been a member of the association for over 70 years.

He started in the gymnastics department.

The happy couple wishes one thing above all for the future: "That everything goes on as normal and that they remain healthy for a long time to come".
