Demonstration in favor of the legal revolution, Netanya.
April 15, 2023 (Shlomi Gabbai)
Ahead of the "Million Demonstration" that will be held this evening (Thursday) in Jerusalem, an article against participation in the demonstration titled - "What to Priest in the Cemetery" was published this morning in "Yeted Na'aman", the publication of the Degel-Hatorah faction.
The article reads: "We go with the right clearly at the behest of our masters, but we do not belong and do not embark on a joint campaign. We are in favor of legal reform and against the dictatorial takeover of the people's lives by liberal terror. But whoever is ultra-Orthodox cannot leave."
After the announcement of the demonstration in support of the legal revolution, the right-wing organizations tried to gather official support from the ultra-orthodox rabbis, and as part of it, an official call was made to yeshiva candidates and abrakhs to participate in it.
However, the move was unsuccessful.
In the houses of rabbis affiliated with Shas and Torah Judaism, they decided to avoid it, but not to prohibit it completely either.

It is estimated that the rabbis decided not to call for a demonstration, in order to prevent hundreds of thousands of yeshiva students from going to the demonstration, but various ultra-Orthodox groups will still participate.
For example, Rabbi Meir Mazoz, head of the Mercy Seat Yeshiva and one of the most prominent rabbis on the ultra-Orthodox street - published an official letter of support for the demonstration and called it the "Assembly of Peace."
Rabbis in religious Zionism and heads of religious pre-military schools also mobilized to encourage the national religious public to come to the demonstration tonight.
In the meantime, in the last two days notices were hung in ultra-Orthodox gatherings in Jerusalem and in other cities across the country, calling for participation in the demonstration tonight, despite the opposition of the rabbis.
According to estimates, the organizers of the demonstration are behind these ads.
The right-wing organizations are preparing for tens of thousands of participants in the demonstration alongside senior coalition officials such as Justice Minister Yariv Levin, Constitution Committee Chairman Simcha Rothman, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gabir. This is the second mass demonstration in favor of the reform in Jerusalem, after tens of thousands of participants arrived on the evening of the delay of the reform and the beginning of the talks at the President's residence.
