FIGAROVOX /INTERVIEW - The former secretary general of the Constitutional Council analyzes the decision of the Mamoudzou judicial court to suspend the evacuation of a slum as part of Operation Wuambushu. One more example according to him of a state hampered by the rule of law.

- Do the events in Mayotte not dramatically oppose the rule of law and public order?

The Mamoudzou court suspended the evacuation of the Koungou slum in Mayotte, planned as part of Operation Wuambushu.

On the other hand, the Comoros refused to dock a ship carrying around sixty of their nationals.

There are therefore simultaneously paralyzed - at least temporarily, perhaps permanently - a measure to fight against unsanitary housing and the expulsion of foreigners in an irregular situation, originating from the Comoros, to Anjouan, the nearest Comorian island.
