New disappointment for the QDS collective and its partners.
The fallback concert organized in Place Saint-Jean this Thursday after the cancellation of the DJ set planned on the roofs of the Fourvière basilica will not take place either, the organization said at the end of the morning.
Requested by the town hall of Lyon, favorable to this initiative, the prefecture of the Rhône did not support it.
“A “very unfavorable” opinion from the chief of staff of the DDSP du Rhône has been sent to the town hall,”
said QDS in a press release.

, the state services claim the presence of members of the ultra left on the spot, while a call for a rally in the form of a
"festive aperitif against the far right"
has been launched .
A reaction to the cancellation of the DJ set, which had been welcomed by several ultra-right groups last week.
Les Remparts, resulting from the dissolution of Génération identitaire, welcomed it on Twitter: "
Cancellation of the woke concert even before our actions in the field
".
The Notre-Dame-de-Fourvière foundation, which administers the premises, had justified this decision by the existence of
"serious threats of violence"
.
The prefecture underlines the risk of clashes this Thursday to motivate this unfavorable opinion.
“This shows once again the power of censorship of the extremes and the total lack of will of the state to face this threat
, deplores the press release from QDS.
The State prefers to align itself with the wishes of the extremes, rather than supporting a peaceful event which had no other claim than that of offering a festive moment to the people of Lyon.
