On Sunday, the Ukrainian secret service attempted to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin using a "kamikaze drone" ("suicide drone").
According to a report by the German daily "Bild", the assassination attempt failed, but was kept secret by the Russian authorities.
According to the German newspaper, a Ukrainian UJ-22 UAV took off from Ukraine on Sunday afternoon. It is the most advanced Ukrainian UAV of Kiev with a medium range of up to 800 kilometers.
The target was apparently a new industrial park built near Moscow.
Yuriy Romanenko, a Ukrainian activist with close ties to Ukraine's intelligence services, wrote that "Last week, our intelligence officers received information about Putin's trip to the Rodenovo Industrial Park. Our kamikaze drone went through the entire air defense of the Russian Federation and crashed not far from the industrial park." .
Several private Russian media reported the crash of a UJ-22 UAV near the village of Vorskogo, east of Moscow and about 20 kilometers east of the Rodenbo Industrial Park. According to a Bild report, the UAV was carrying 30 C4 explosive charges with a total weight of 17 kilos.

Kremlin correspondent Pavel Zarubin said Sunday morning that President Putin plans to "visit an industrial park in Moscow."
Russian bystanders posted photos from the Rudnebo Industrial Park on Sunday afternoon, showing a gray lawn in front of the main building sprayed with green paint.
For security reasons, Putin's visits are sometimes made a day before they are announced.
Sergi Semlani, an expert on Ukraine, told "Bild" that "it is clear that a precise attack against the Russian head of state using a kamikaze drone is an almost impossible operation.
But the very fact that such a drone will reach the place where Putin plans to stay is a slap in the face to the Russian dictator."
