The most important South American category in the region will launch this weekend the

first Endurance race of the 2023 season

at the Termas de Rio Hondo International Raceway in Santiago del Estero, which will have the presence of the most renowned drivers from Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.

An event that will have

more than twenty cars on the track

and that will once again have big names such as the first runner-up in the category, the Brazilian Rodrigo Baptista together with Adalberto Baptista and the experienced Ernesto “Tito” Bessone who will pair up with Guilherme Reischl.

In addition, Argentine references in the specialty such as Jorge Barrio and Matías Milla, and great stars of the Brazilian Stock Car such as Rafael Suzuki will be present.

One of the great novelties for Termas de Rio Hondo will be the

incorporation of the last champion of the category, Fabricio Pezzini, to Paladini Racing to accompany Fabian Yannantuoni from Rosario

.

It should be remembered that after the second date, the San Luis decided to move away from the PMO Motorsport with which he was champion last season.

For the TCR South America it will be the second visit to the Santiago racetrack since last year there was also a resistance date.

That competition had as winners the duo made up of the Brazilian Fabio Casagrande and the Argentine international Esteban Guerrieri.

The category will start at one of the most important circuits in the country, the Termas de Río Hondo International Raceway.

This was officially inaugurated on May 11, 2008 and after four years, reconditioning, expansion and modernization works were carried out.

With fourteen curves and long straights,

the layout is one of the most difficult in Argentina.

This third event will begin with

the young Argentine Ignacio Montenegro at the top of the championship with 155 points.

Below are Bernardo Llaver from Mendoza with 133 units, the Uruguayan Juan Manuel Casella with 95 and the Brazilians Galid Osman and Raphael Reis with 82 and 81, respectively.

The first activity for the forty drivers will begin on Friday with two shakedowns to get to know the circuit.

Saturday will be reserved for the free tests and the classification of the two drivers by car and

Sunday will be the main course with the race that will last one hour.
