Alberto Fernández
will travel to Brasilia this Tuesday
with a request for help from Lula da Silva in the face of the serious economic crisis in Argentina.
In addition to help to
navigate the financial crisis
, Fernández is seeking financing to link the gas pipeline that leaves Vaca Muerta with the infrastructure that carries gas to southern Brazil.
The Government wants to finish this second tranche
before the presidential elections
this year.
And there is talk that the work requires financing of 689 million dollars.
The president is traveling with his foreign minister Santiago Cafiero and is evaluating minister Sergio Massa, who at the time, like ambassador Daniel Scioli, requested financing from the Brazilian National Development Bank for Brazilian companies that export to Argentina.
The proposal of Buenos Aires is that the Central Bank
would thus avoid having to lose dollar reserves
to pay for purchases from Brazil.
At the end of May there could also be a South American summit in Brazil with the intention of reviving Unasur.
