Perle (“Love Island”): “With Valentin, our relationship is very fluid”

Eleven candidates, six men and five women, all single, took the start of

last Monday in a villa in Gran Canaria.

Among them,

got to know Valentin with the first impression that she would not match him.

But the current finally passed very well between them to the point that, to date, their couple has become the most concrete of the first days of the adventure.

I contacted the production when I discovered an announcement for the casting.

I already knew the English version of the show and I liked the concept.

I'm a fairly free-spirited person, I don't like to be compartmentalized in what I do and, until now, being in a relationship was not pleasant.

I lived too oppressive relations and "Love Island" allows to open to the meeting of several people.

If things are not going well with someone, we can get to know another participant.

How do you experience being filmed and broadcast on television?

I thought about those aspects of the experience before shooting, but that's not a problem.

We feel so good here that we don't realize we're in a program.

We completely forget the cameras.

I know you can't please everyone, but I always try to be kind to people.

Even if my choices may possibly displease, I know that I have no bad intentions.

On your Instagram account, you appear with very different looks, you frequently change your hairstyle, hair color.

Who is Perle after all?

I was born in France, on the Swiss border, about fifteen minutes from Geneva.

Since 2014, I have settled in Bayonne with my mother and my brother, the three of us are very close.

In terms of my studies, I obtained a bac L then I did three years in law school.

I didn't like it and I want to validate a diploma in aesthetics to devote myself professionally to the profession of make-up artist.

I am a young woman full of surprises.

Depending on my mood, I change my look or hairstyle.

I am a chameleon, I develop a multitude of passions.

I am a creative person, make-up is an integral part of my life.

Fitness is another of my great passions, I do sports all the time.

What can you tell me about your romantic past?

It's not very glorious!

(Laughs.) I had high school crushes without ever having any crushes.

I stayed for a year with a person I had feelings for with the will to make our relationship work but we had nothing in common to make it happen.

Since then, I haven't had a serious history.

Have your romantic relationships only been shared with men?

Yeah I've only had men in my life so far but I'm pretty open minded.

I haven't had any other experiences to be able to have a concrete opinion on the subject.

When you get bored quickly, is it possible to envisage a lasting relationship with the same person?

In principle, I tell myself that it's possible because I know I can involve him 100% in a relationship if I feel good about it.

In the “Love Island” adventure, it's something that could scare me because I wouldn't want to hurt someone who attaches to me without it being reciprocated.

In "Love Island", you have been with Valentin since day one and things seem to be going well between you...

He made me feel like a very charming person, I like very much his style.

At first, I didn't see myself being with him at all, but as we got to know each other, we discovered a lot in common.

Our relationship is very fluid and it's very pleasant to be with him.

The little games set up in "Love Island" put couples to the test, did it affect you that he kissed another girl during one of them?

I'm not jealous by nature but when I'm disappointed by someone, I don't insist and I quickly get them out of my life.

I found myself much more patient with this situation and more thoughtful.

With Valentin, we communicate a lot, we explain each other when there are misunderstandings and this strengthens our trust in each other.

But it's true that this kiss from Valentin to Cindy still touched me.

When we know how "Love Island" works, do we think of the best way to win the game?

There may be other people who operate strategically but, for me, it's not something that guides my actions.

I live from day to day and I even tended to forget that I was in a game. I'm more focused on my relationship and on the bonds of trust that we put in place.

I let myself be carried.
