Are we finally leaving the unstable weather behind us with the last weekend in April?
Offenbach/Munich - April is coming to an end.
The hope of spring or even summer weather in May is therefore increasing for many.
When will it finally be pleasantly warm again for a longer period of time in Germany?
There were not particularly many hours of sunshine this month.
And the long weekend in April, including a public holiday on Monday, is also accompanied by unstable weather.
Will the turning point come then?

Weather in Germany: wet, cold, uncomfortable - deeply responsible
The German Weather Service (DWD) writes that “a small depression that brings us mild, humid air” is responsible for the cold, wet weather.
It will reach Germany on Friday (April 28) from southern England.
Precipitation, isolated thunderstorms, squalls: This weather forecast is by no means particularly pleasant.
The maximum temperatures in the North Sea area are ten degrees, in the west and south-west it can get up to 19 degrees.
Otherwise the temperatures are between twelve and 17 degrees.
Weather warning for southern Germany
Heavy, showery rain is to be expected, especially in the Black Forest and in the Alps.
Not for nothing does the DWD issue an official severe weather warning of rain and squalls.
Above 1500 meters, the experts warn of gusts of wind with speeds between 70 and 85 kilometers per hour.
In exposed locations, severe gusts of wind up to 100 km/h must be expected.
The warning is in effect until 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
There was also continuous rain with varying intensity until the early hours of the morning.
Rainfall of between 30 and 40 liters per square meter could occur.
In traffic jams, 50 liters per square meter would be reached.

According to the DWD, there could be rain or showers for a long time on Saturday night in the eastern half of Germany and in the Alps.
But that will subside by morning.
In the rest of Germany it should mostly stay dry.

Diploma meteorologist Dominik Jung described the weather over the long weekend to the weather portal
wetter.net
as "mostly mixed" .
"Sunshine sometimes, clouds sometimes, but there is also rain, especially in southern Germany," he said.
Sunday and Monday a low will pass in the south.
This also coincides with the information from the DWD for Sunday, which predicts a “change of sun and clouds, with showery rain in the southern half or individual thunderstorms”.
Jung's conclusion: "The cool spring weather continues." The 20-degree mark is only rarely cracked, as the forecasts of the DWD (see table below) also show.

Expert sees "a little hope" for the first weekend in May in Germany
A week later the weather should finally become more pleasant.
At least when it comes to the European weather model.
This expects "a significant warming", as weather expert Jung explained.
"Accordingly, 20 to 28 degrees would be possible, and very warm air masses would hit us from south-west Europe.
However, all this is still very uncertain, it is simply too far away.
At least it gives some hope," he said.
Even though the weather doesn't invite you to take a trip to the nearest lake over the long weekend, it could be the case on the first weekend in May.
However, Jung was not really optimistic for the month of May as a whole.
There may even be a “total failure” for spring.
At least the coming weekend could be an exception - if you rely on the European weather model.
