A confrontation in the coalition was recorded today (Sunday) between Knesset member Moshe Gafni, one of the leaders of Torah Judaism, and MK David Bitan (Likud), due to the latter's words according to which the ultra-Orthodox demanded to quickly advance the legal reform that includes the overreach clause as a solution to the conscription issue. Gafni addressed

the The head of the economics committee, Bitan, during a discussion of it, wondered: "Why do you say that we are forcing to advance the reform?

We are not at the front." MK Bitan replied that "They started with this specific reform because the ultra-Orthodox demanded the strengthening clause in the conscription law. What I am saying is not true? What are you saying?".

"What's good about you is that everything is because of you, but it has nothing to do with you," added Bitan.

During the verbal confrontation, other ultra-Orthodox members of the Knesset were present at the scene and they told Bitan that "the passage of overcoming is not the reform."

Gafni went on to ask Bitten, "Then why is Yariv Levin only busy choosing the judges?".

Bitan, who attacked Justice Minister Yariv Levin in recent days, replied: "Yriv Levin also has demands, but the speed is because of you."

Even for these words, Gafni was not held accountable.

"Blame the Likud, not us," he answered, and Knesset member Bitan replied that the ultra-Orthodox are "part of the matter."

"I blamed the Likud in any case. The Likud needs to do things even at the cost of living, not just reform," he concluded.
