Twelve elementary school children from Balham recently expanded the Ebersberger Forest
Ebersberg – Twelve elementary school children from Baldham-Vaterstetten recently planted trees in the Ebersberg forest under the motto "Kids4Roots".
Together with the deputy forest manager Michael Waldherr and Paul Killguß from the Bavarian Forest Protection Association, the children were explained why trees are dying in the forest and how important it is that new trees are planted.
Each child was then allowed to plant their own tree.
A total of 23 oak trees were planted that day.
The children were proud to now have their own tree and to have planted it themselves.
Even if the rainy weather wasn't ideal for the children, it was perfect for the trees that were planted - and the children had a lot of fun despite the mud.
