Alberto Samid

The historic Peronist leader announced this Sunday that
he will present himself as a candidate for mayor of La Matanza
, the largest stronghold of Peronism in the province of Buenos Aires.
"Comrades, colleagues, I want to announce that
I am going to be a candidate for mayor of La Matanza
. My lifelong municipality," he wrote on his Twitter account, where he is followed by some 73,000 people and in which he usually comments on national politics.
Samid is an active tweeter.
After announcing his candidacy, Samid launched a poll on Twitter asking who his followers would vote for.
In addition to Samid and Fernando Espinoza, the current mayor of the district, the other options were Verónica Magario (who is currently deputy governor of Axel Kicillof in the province) and Eduardo "Lalo" Creus, who would be one of the candidates for Together for Change.
Samid is not the only one who wants to sign up for the most populous municipality in the country
