Mallorca – The creators of “Layla” are releasing their new single just in time for the start of the season in Mallorca.
"Bumsbar" is the name of the new song by pop star Ikke Hipgold (46) and DJ Robin (27) and promises to have just as much scandal and hit potential as the pretty "Puffmama".
Because the musical criticism of the church is already breaking streaming records, as Ikke Hipgold reveals in an interview with Ippen.Media.

Even if the title is likely to heat up some tempers, the real excitement of "Bumsbar" is in the music video this time.
Because in the video clip, Ikke Hipgold is nailed to the cross disguised as Jesus.

But what at first glance looks like a runaway costume party has a serious background.
Because with the music video, Ikke Hipgold criticizes the celibacy of the Catholic Church.
But he is by no means trying to step on believing Christians' toes in any way.
"I'm not a believer, but I often wish I was a believer.
Faith is an incredible anchor to hold on to, especially when things are not going so well.
It's really all about the church as an institution and the mistakes that are made there," Ikke Hipgold clarified in an interview with Ippen.Media.

But is a Ballermann song the right way to draw attention to the abuses in the church or even to change something about it?
Yes, thinks Ikke Hipgold.
"Ballermann people aren't idiots.
This is our future.
The youth that flies there.
Many of them are studying, most have graduated from high school and will eventually be on the executive floor," said the hit star in an interview with Ippen.Media.
The Ballermann community is completely underestimated "and wrongly referred to as stupid drinking people".

And what do the fans say?
They're already celebrating "Bumsbar", as you can clearly see from the streaming numbers.
“Yesterday we broke the absolute streaming record for a party hit number ever on the day of release, and by a wide margin.
With over 1,000,000 streams on all portals throughout Germany,” says Ikke Hipgold.
“It's comparable to Apache.
That will probably be a top 10 number in Germany next week,” he is certain.
Whether "Bumsbar" really becomes the next "Layla" remains to be seen.
But Ikke Hipgold has already achieved one thing: People are talking about the song, the music video and the Catholic Church.
Thomas Gottschalk recently caused a stir.
However, not with a pregnant nun, but with the statement that he was still "too young" for the television garden.
