Berlin – You can’t get any further by car, the “last generation” wants to teach the citizens.
On Tuesday (April 25) at Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Berlin it didn't work at all.
The climate stickers had to watch from the street as the cars simply roar past them.

The activists chose the most unstrategic location for their road blockade.
Right next to the blocked traffic light is a large green area.
Without further ado, a number of drivers simply pulled past the “Last Generation” on the left.
"Across the botany," writes the user who posted the video of it.

And a protest action that didn't work.
Run into the grass to stop the cars?
Of course, it doesn't work with a glued hand.

The “last generation” is now getting a lot of ridicule on social media for this.
"It's stupid that you can't stick to the lawn," writes a Twitter user ironically.
"Does anyone have a cheap G-Class for city traffic?" asks another.
Quite a few joke that the campaign shows that an SUV for the city is obviously not that bad after all.
The fact that so many drivers dared to use the green verge was probably due to the fact that the police weren't there yet.
The activists usually strike out of nowhere, then it takes a while for officials to be there to secure the road blockade.

Probably particularly bitter for the environmentalists: the car maneuver has certainly damaged the green strip.

For several days, the major action of the "Last Generation" has been going on with numerous blockades and protest marches in Berlin.
On Wednesday, climate activists were back on the streets with a protest march through Kreuzberg.
After all, no one was harmed in this incident.
Activists of the “last generation” have been attacked by motorists and passers-by, some of them violently, in the past few days.
On the A100, a man pulled two young women off the road by their hair.
In Charlottenburg, a Mercedes driver ran over an activist's foot.
