Better Call Saul
star has joined Season 2 of FX's deliciously hit drama series
The Bear ,

has learned
from exclusive sources.
Details of Odenkirk's character are being kept under wraps, but the actor is said to be appearing on the show as a guest.
FX and Odenkirk's representatives
declined to comment on the matter.
The Bear
, which will premiere its second season in June 2023, stars
Jeremy Allen White
as Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto, an elite chef who returns home to run her family's Chicago sandwich shop after that his older brother dies: he committed suicide.
"The Bear" is the new comedy that can be seen on Star +, starring "Shameless" actor Jeremy Allen White.
Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, Corey Hendrix, Matty Matheson, Richard Esteras and Jose M. Cervantes make up The Bear's
chaotic kitchen staff, while Abby Elliott stars as
the Carmen's sister, Natalia.
After its debut,
The Bear

FX's most-watched half-hour series.
and took home trophies from the Screen Actors, Writers and Producers Guild Awards.
In addition, White won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy.

Bob Odenkirk stars in "Better Call Saul." He was a five-time Emmy nominee but never won.
In 2022, he wrapped up a 13-year career playing criminal lawyer and cartel pal Saul Goodman in
Breaking Bad
and
Better Call Saul,
for which he received five Emmy nominations in the lead actor category.
Until now, he could never take the statuette for that paper to his house.
Better Call Saul
will compete in the Emmys for the last time this year, for the second installment of its sixth and final season.

with David Cross, Odenkirk also starred in

And he added that the viewer has been rewarded for so much effort.

Acting to me is rewarding when it's hard
, when you really have to push yourself and dig deep and lose yourself in the role you're playing. That's when you feel like you've done something significant."
"So I want to keep in touch with that difficulty," he expanded.
"I'd also
like to get back to doing a good funny comedy,
but not only that. I definitely want to continue working in the field that I'm in that put me where I am happily."
