It places Turkey before a choice of civilization: either the definitive shift towards a form of power for life, an authoritarian regime inspired by the Russia of Vladimir Putin, as well as towards an increasingly tight alliance with the Chinese and Russian empires;

or the return to democracy with the restoration of the rule of law and fundamental freedoms, the independence of justice and the media, the neutrality of education, openness to the West.

In many ways, the Turkey of 2023 is in a situation comparable to that of Germany in 1933.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan is ready to do anything to stay in power.

He distorted the institutions, corrupted the State and established a latent terror, without hesitating…
