Two speeding more than 110 km / h and two refusal to comply in the wake of the arrests occurred in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), in the nights from Sunday to Monday then from Monday to Tuesday, indicates the departmental direction of public safety.

The two individuals were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

During the night from Sunday to Monday, around 1:30 a.m., a motorist of Italian nationality was traveling at 117 km / h instead of 50 at the exit of the Pierre-Mathis route, at the level of the avenue du XVe Corps.

While he had stopped his vehicle to submit to the control, the individual reinserted his key and put the ignition back on to flee.

In his maneuver, he injured a policewoman by rolling over her foot.

His colleagues managed to stop the vehicle and arrested the respondent, who then adopted a hostile and violent behavior towards the police.

He insulted the policemen, threatened them with death, and struggled on the ground.

Other police officers had to deal with similar facts the following night.

An individual was also checked there while driving at 114 km / h on the Promenade des Anglais, at 1:15 am.

When the motorist understood that his license was going to be withdrawn, he restarted his vehicle and engaged his gear to flee.

The police then deployed “stop sticks”, which allow the tires of the vehicle to be deflated when it rolls over it.

The defendant was therefore arrested.

The latter was under the influence of drugs and had a knife in one of his pockets.

For these two cases, the Maralpine Departmental Security has opened investigations and is continuing to hear the two motorists.

They could quickly be brought before a judge for an immediate appearance.

The facts of which they are accused are multiple: offense of high speed, refusal to comply, contempt and rebellion or even driving under the influence of an alcoholic state and under narcotics.
