France has locked up several Iranians in detention centers in recent weeks, a sign that the government “
persists in wanting to deport them to Iran
” despite the contrary remarks by the Minister of the Interior, NGOs denounced on Wednesday, calling for “
clear instructions
.

The administration continues to notify deportation decisions to Iran endangering the lives of these people as well as that of their families
,” wrote in a press release Amnesty International, La Cimade and the Iran Justice Collective.
Bloody repression
According to them, “
France persists in wanting to deport to Iran
”, where the power opposes a bloody repression to the protest movement triggered by the death in September of Mahsa Amini, during his detention for breach of the strict dress code.

I want to assure you here that we will not deport anyone (...) to Iran
", declared in January before the Senate Gérald Darmanin, questioned on the case of an Iranian woman arrested in France while she was trying to reach England, before being issued an Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).
Since April 15, an Iranian couple who were also trying to travel to the United Kingdom have been locked up in the Administrative Detention Center (CRA) in Toulouse, before being released by a judge of freedoms and detention , according to NGOs.

On April 23, another "
Iranian person was notified of an OQTF by the Aude prefecture and was locked up
" in the same CRA, before finally being released for "
health reasons
", they said. .

These deportation decisions are manifestly illegal
", denounced the signatories, deploring in particular that the authorities turned to the "
Iranian consulate
" in the context of these procedures.

This request for documentation from the Iranian authorities is absolutely unacceptable as the administration knowingly provides information about people seeking refuge in Europe
," they wrote.
These organizations are asking the Minister of the Interior “
that clear instructions be sent to the prefects so that the notification of decisions to expel and place in detention
” of these people is immediately terminated.
