Seven schools in Lyon alerted school catering services last week after discovering several questionable-looking organic yoghurts.
According to the
Tribune de Lyon
, two children attending the Robert-Doisneau school (Lyon 1er) were victims of food poisoning, suffered from stomach aches and vomiting after having ingested these desserts.
Contacted, the Lyon municipality indicates that the vast majority of yogurts were removed before being served to children because they presented, for some, this suspicious aspect.
However the expiry date was good.
In all, nine children suffered from food poisoning.
In total, 6,500 yogurts made in the Loire were delivered to schools by the service provider Elior.
No germs detected
Contacted, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes indicates that it has coordinated an investigation in connection with the hygiene service of the city of Lyon and the DDPP (Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations).
The latter recovered a sample of each ingredient of the meal served on April 27 and several yogurts from the place of production.
For the DDPP, the question of fermentation seems privileged (sourness, smell, acidity) and therefore the problem would not be linked to a germ.
The milk checked at the place of production on April 13 was also germ-free.
The ARS also indicates that the nine affected children are doing better.
