THE CHRONICLE OF ETIENNE DE MONTETY - The purpose of Carlo Ossola is not to build an architecture of the qualities necessary for a peaceful and fruitful human existence, but more modestly to recall and refresh those which make better trade with his contemporaries .


Throughout history, Christianity has established a typology of virtues, some called "cardinal", others "theological".

The former aim to orient man towards a wise and moral life, the latter explicitly towards God.

Carlo Ossola is not Aristotle or Saint Thomas Aquinas.

He is an honorary professor at the College de France.

His purpose is not to construct in turn an architecture of the qualities necessary for a peaceful and fruitful human existence, but more modestly to recall and refresh those which make trade with his contemporaries better.

The crisis of our societies has passed through this.

Evidences are shattered.

New ones are emerging, uncertain to the point that they are called “values”.

The twilight voice of Gramsci resounds:

"The old world is dying, the new world is slow to appear and in this chiaroscuro the monsters arise."
