The 50-year-old man is being prosecuted for "death threats" against suspects in the murder of his son and faces a ten-year prison sentence.

Guy Trompat was placed in pre-trial detention on Thursday May 4 for "

murder instigation

" against suspects in the murder of his son Kevin, found dead with his partner Leslie Hoorelbeke in early March, said the Niort prosecutor's office.

The trial of this 50-year-old man, placed in police custody on Wednesday and presented for immediate appearance Thursday afternoon before the criminal court, is postponed, at his request, to June 2, adds the prosecution in a press release.

"Death threats"

Pending this new hearing, Guy Trompat will be imprisoned in the Vivonne penitentiary center (Vienna), his lawyer Me Ambroise Garlopeau told AFP.

This is a case parallel to the investigation carried out by the Poitiers prosecutor's office on the "

disappeared from Deux-Sèvres

", Leslie Hoorelbeke, 22, and Kevin Trompat, 21, found dead in Charente-Maritime on 3 and March 4, after three months of uncertainty.

and

placed in pre-trial detention.

Amount of money

"

He is accused in particular of having uttered death threats against the persons charged in the case linked to the disappearance of his son and of having offered a sum of money to anyone who would kill them or their loved ones, via social networks.

This proposal would have been relayed in various prison establishments and would have been followed by the dissemination of photographs of the persons targeted

, ”explained the public prosecutor of Niort Julien Wattebled in a press release.

Kevin Trompat and Leslie Hoorelbeke were killed by blows with a "

blunt object

", according to the Poitiers prosecutor's office, which mentioned "

sentimental disappointment and / or financial debts

" as possible motives of the suspects.

At the time of the disappearance of his son and his girlfriend, Guy Trompat was imprisoned for "

willful violence

".

After the discovery of the bodies, he organized a white march on March 12 in tribute to the two victims, demanding that "

justice be done

".

It's insurmountable.

They destroyed lives, destroyed my life.

I cannot live without my son

,” he told reporters.
