Fernando 'Piti' Estrada Gonzáles turned himself in last week after 13 years on the run. He asked to go to the Marcos Paz prison so as not to have problems with rival gangs.

They say that when the Peruvian drug lord Fernando "Piti" Estrada Gonzáles (56) turned himself in to the authorities - on April 25 - he did it so as not to continue hiding and with the hope that the case against him would prescribe after 13 years fugitive.

Be that as it may, this morning the Federal Police handed him over to the Federal Penitentiary Service (SPF) and did not want to take any risk: to take him from the headquarters of Dangerous Drugs (Avenida Belgrano 1630) to the courts on Talcahuano street, an operation was mounted ready for any eventuality.

Four brigades with unidentifiable mobile phones, half a dozen motorcycles from the Motorized Operational Group (GOM) and units from the Tactical Support Group (GAT) surrounded the transfer truck that went to Unit 28 of the SPF in the Palace of Courts, where the the pass from the hands of

one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in the country

.

Fernando "Piti" Estrada Gonzáles, the Peruvian drug lord who ran the drug trade in the village 11-1-14.

Apparently, through his lawyer, "Piti" asked to be housed in the Marcos Paz II Penitentiary Complex.

One possible explanation is that his historic rival, Alionzo Rutillo Ramos Mariños (58), alias "Ruti"

, is in the Ezeiza prison , and that the entire gang of

Johnny Ray Arnao Quispe (40), alias "Pantro"

was housed in Devoto.

, arrested at the end of 2021 as the person who tried to unseat the Estrada Gonzáles brothers in the villa 1-11-14.

Those who swarm around "Piti" maintain that

he no longer wants more wars

.

Apparently he plans to educate himself: since he turned himself in, he hasn't let go of his copy of "

Rich Dad, Poor Dad

," an international mega bestseller that is a kind of self-help book on how to invest.

After two decades dedicated to drug trafficking,

he does not lack money

.

The book that Peruvian drug lord Fernando "Piti" Estrada Gonzáles is reading.

The story of "Piti"

Leaner, with lightened hair and curlers.

Totally different from the photos that had been known of him.

This is how Fernando "Piti" Estrada Gonzáles appeared on April 25 at the building of the Narcocrime Prosecutor's Office (Procunar), who had a valid arrest warrant issued by the federal court in October 2010.

"Piti", who handled a large part of the drug traffic in Bajo Flores from Lima, Peru, announced on Monday the 24th -via his lawyer, Juan Sánchez Ortiz- his intention to turn himself in to the Argentine authorities.

And hours later he fulfilled his promise, to the surprise of the whole world.

Estrada Gonzáles was immediately arrested.

Of course, it is still unknown how -with a red Interpol circular with his name- he managed to cross the border, circulate through half the country and reach the microcenter of Buenos Aires.

The other option, even more scandalous, is that he arrived on a commercial flight and went through Immigration without anyone noticing.

"Piti"

was a fugitive for 13 years

.

During that time, he was able to keep his narco structure almost intact in the villa 11-1-14 of Bajo Flores together with his brother, the well-known Marco Estrada Gonzalez (60), alias "Marcos", today in Peru after being expelled from Argentina. in 2022 after being sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Now, if his life and his business in the "underground" were so successful,

why did he turn himself in?

One possible explanation is that you are trying to play a legal card, such as the prescription of the case against you for the crime of drug trafficking.

The other is that he felt surrounded after the recent arrests in Peru of his nephew

John Paul Revilla Estrada (alias "Burro")

, on March 16, and of his associate

Raúl Martín Maylli Rivera (alias "Dumbo")

, in October 2022.

Expulsion of Marco Estrada Gonzáles from Argentina.

Fernando "Piti" Estrada Gonzáles was one of the most coveted fugitives.

Several times a specialized Dangerous Drugs brigade of the Federal Police even traveled to Peru to try to locate him.

The last time was in March: together with the Peruvian anti-narcotics police (Dirandro) they tracked him down to Arequipa, where he had suffered a traffic accident.

On that occasion ,

they narrowly escaped

, but they managed to locate and capture his nephew John Paul, known for having been expelled from the country twice. PFA Dangerous Drug detectives traveled to Peru, who with the collaboration of the National Police from Peru managed to locate it.

"Donkey" moved in a red Honda brand car, which he left on the sidewalk pretending to be a taxi.

The policemen waited for "Marcos'" nephew to go out into the street and followed him to a safe area to make the arrest.

When they asked him his name, he calmly replied: "

Jhon Paul

".

And he clarified that in Peru he had no impediment.

It was at that moment that they had breakfast with the Interpol red alert that had just been reactivated.

The empire of the Estrada Gonzáles brothers began to be forged based on shots and deaths in the '90s.

It grew and strengthened until it occupied seven hectares in the village 1-11-14 of Bajo Flores.

His power was cemented with homicides.

"Piti" was arrested for one of those homicides and spent several years in jail.

After serving the sentence for the crime of Antonio Eusebio Gallardo -occurred on June 11, 1998 in the vicinity of the building complex called Barrio Rivadavia II of this city-, in front of block 24 of the villa 1-11-14, he continued driving the drug business in freedom, until he was a fugitive.

His main partner, with whom he did not always have a good relationship, was his brother "Marcos", with whom the trade in cocaine, base paste and marijuana was divided in a rotating shift system.

Today the band seems to be going through its worst moment, with

its main references dead or arrested

.

Of all of them, "Piti" was the biggest fish left to fall.

Now he was made available to judge Ariel Lijo and prosecutor Eduardo Taiano, who will surely call him for an investigation in the next few days, an act that Justice has been preparing for more than a decade.
