Once again, the signs castigating Emmanuel Macron and the pension reform, brandished by demonstrators, were out in the streets of Nantes on Wednesday evening.
A parade, at the call of the local inter-union, was organized there after the rejection of the referendum of shared initiative (RIP) by the Constitutional Council.
“The motto of macronie: LSD, anxiety, precariousness”, “Manu Ciao, Macron, man of chaos” or even “Authority of a single man, it is a crime;
what we want is the authority of all”, could we read in particular on certain panels.
At the height of the rally, a few hundred demonstrators were present according to an AFP photographer.

“Right-wing” demonstration
The procession was much calmer than the last demonstrations in the City of the Dukes, in particular that of May 1 which had given rise to 29 arrests and had injured several police officers and demonstrators.
A person was still arrested according to the AFP photographer.
An independent journalist, present at the scene, indicates that she was arrested after setting fire to a trash can.
A rally of support would be planned this Thursday, at 1 p.m., in front of the central police station in Nantes to demand his release.
Shortly after this arrest, new garbage fires were lit.
Several containers were burned as the AFP photographer could see.
In Loire-Atlantique, a new mobilization against the pension reform is planned for Saturday.
It is a “right-wing demonstration” which will march through the streets of La Baule from 1 p.m., like the one which took place in the seaside resort on April 8.
