Almost two months after her appearance before the Nantes Criminal Court, Joëlle Kerivin, the former director of the famous Nantes classical music festival La Folle Journée, is fixed on her sentence.

She was sentenced to three years in prison, including 26 months suspended.

As for the ten months in prison, his sentence has been adjusted.

Not present during the deliberation delivered at 2 p.m., the former director of the cultural event, from 2014 to March 2021, was found guilty of misuse of corporate assets, breach of trust and embezzlement of public funds.

She will have to repay her remaining debts to the public limited company of mixed economy (SAEM) La Folle Journée, ie 232,000 euros.

Same sanction in favor of the Simone de Beauvoir space, an association fighting for women's rights, of which she served as president from 2013 to 2021, to which she will have to reimburse 61,000 euros.

Psychological and psychiatric care

His sentence is accompanied by a lifetime ban on exercising, on a professional or voluntary basis, a financial management activity.

She is also sentenced to a ban on managing or controlling a company for fifteen years and ineligibility for five years.

She also has the obligation to exercise a professional activity and to follow psychological and psychiatric care.

Auditor sentenced

The Nantes court sentenced the auditor, also prosecuted in this case, to a six-month suspended prison sentence.
