A 50-year-old man was stabbed to death in Holon, May 2, 2023 (MDA)
The prosecutor's office today (Friday) filed an indictment against 26-year-old Amir Abush, for the attempted murder of an acquaintance, after he lost to him in a card game.
According to the indictment, Abush arrived at the victim's home in Holon, played cards with him and lost about NIS 5,000.
After losing the money, he left the apartment and a short time later came away with an additional amount of money.
However, he quickly lost that too.
In response to this, according to the indictment, he pulled out a knife, stabbed the man in all parts of his body and left him drinking blood while taking about NIS 20,000 from him.
Despite the serious injuries, the victim managed to get out into the street, where he collapsed in front of passers-by.
At the hospital, the doctors managed to save his life, but had to cut out part of his lung.

According to the indictment, a few days after the attempted murder, Abush sent a message to the victim's brother on Telegram and tried to prevent him from testifying against him.
Among other things, he made it clear to him that he was writing to "know that everything is fine with you", and "that you behave manfully".
On the same day he was arrested, having a knife in his possession.
In addition to the attempted murder, the indictment charges Labush with crimes of serious injury while carrying a cold weapon, theft, obstruction of justice, impeachment in an investigation and possession of a knife.
