Ezequiel Nuñes Pinheiro had testified as a witness in the case for the intrusion into the deputy's phone, who had a SIMSWAP done.

Federal judge

María Servini summoned the young missionary Elias Ezequiel Nuñes Pinheiro for an investigative statement

in a case that investigates the attempted hack into the cell phone of national deputy Diego Santilli, after receiving evidence of a criminal case that he processed in the Buenos Aires Justice.

"In response to the evidence attached to the file, as a result of what was requested" to the Tax Unit of the city of Buenos Aires, the magistrate relieved the young man of the oath to tell the truth, who had already testified as a witness in the case and now passed to be accused, judicial sources explained to the Télam agency.

The judge sent him a personal summons to his home in the town of El Dorado, Misiones, and summoned him for an investigative statement for next May 8 at 12:30 p.m. in the federal courts of Retiro.

Nuñez Pinheiro admitted in another criminal case that he was the perpetrator of maneuvers to access the content of the cell phone

of former CABA Security Minister Marcelo D'Alessandro, for which he said he was hired.

Regarding the investigation into the attempted hacking of Santilli, he had testified as a witness on November 25, 2022 when the case was delegated to the federal prosecutor's office 6.

"When finding sufficient reason to suspect that the named Nuñes Pinheiro would have participated in the commission of a crime, I order the summons for him to give an investigative statement," Servini now resolved.

The procedure will be in person in the court of the city of Buenos Aires.

The court first tried to notify him by email, but the messages to his email box arrived "bounced" and it was not possible to contact him by phone either, for which a personal notification was issued through the Federal Police.

Santilli denounced that there was an attempt to steal his telephone line from Misiones, with the purchase in that province of a chip and an attempt to substitute his identity last year.

The magistrate had filed the case for not being able to identify the alleged perpetrator, but now, faced with the new evidence, she summoned Nuñes Pinheiro for investigation.

The young man admitted in the case for the hacking of D Alessandro's phone that

he was hired to carry out the illegal maneuvers and deliver the content of the messaging systems of the victims' cell phones.

Santilli had requested last January that the cause that tries to trace the fingerprints left by the SIM SWAP operation that he suffered on October 14, when his cell phone was controlled for about four hours by the hacker gang, be unarchived.

The deputy requested that Telefónica Móviles Argentina SA be required to report if prior to the change of his SIMCARD "there were other unsuccessful attempts to carry out said change."

The person who entered the Telefónica website replacing Santilli said that his SIM card was lost or broken and

answered a series of personal questions remotely

to enable another card.

No company employee was involved in this self-management.

The questions were: In which of the following companies did you work? Do you know any of these people? In which of these entities do you have or did you have a credit card? In which town do you live or did you live?

And what is your monotribute category?
