With a lavish ceremony,
King Charles III and his wife Camila were crowned this Saturday
at Westminster Abbey, in central London, in the first event of its kind in the United Kingdom for 70 years.
Some
2,300 guests attend the service
, including US First Lady Jill Biden, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, as well as hundreds of British civil society representatives.
Among those present are also the president of France and his wife Brigitte Macron.
In addition, the Kings of the Netherlands Máxima and Guillermo arrived in Westminster.

Enrique, 38, Carlos's youngest son and
at odds with the royal family
, attended the coronation without his wife, the American Meghan Markle, the great absentee of the day.
The Duchess of Sussex stayed in California with her two children.
Enrique is not expected to appear on the balcony, unless there is a gesture of reconciliation between the family and the prince, who has harshly criticized the monarchy, especially Queen Camila and her brother Guillermo, the 40-year-old heir to the throne.
The President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and the First Lady of Brazil, Rosangela "Janja" da Silva, arrive for the reception of King Carlos.

The list of attendees includes members of the Royal Family as well as international representatives from 203 countries, of which around 100 are their heads of state.
Also present are representatives of the Church and different religions, heads of government and foreign ministers and Nobel Prize winners.
