An accident was just avoided during a dangerous turning maneuver on the Flughafttangente Ost (FTO).
In addition, the police caught some speeders during controls.
Markt Schwaben – During speed measurements on the airport tangent east in the Markt Schwaben/Anzing area on Sunday morning, the police stopped seven vehicles that were faster than the permitted 100 km/h.
According to the press report, the front runner was a Mercedes driver with a speed of 127 km/h (after tolerance deduction).
He can expect a fine of 150 euros and a point in the traffic offender file in Flensburg.

During the controls, which were carried out between 9 and 10.30 am, police officers observed a car with Slovenian number plates turning on the FTO to head back towards the A94.
Another car from oncoming traffic was able to brake just in time to avoid a collision.

Turning on the FTO is strictly forbidden, reports the Poing Police Inspectorate.
The driver from the Dominican Republic was checked and proceedings are being opened against him.
