Emmanuel Macron thanks his voters on Twitter in a handwritten letter

The President of the Republic plays the proximity card by writing a letter to his constituents the day before a trip to Lyon, when several calls to demonstrate have been launched.


Six years after his first election, the President of the Republic wanted to thank his voters in a personalized and handwritten message.

Emmanuel Macron then published it on his Twitter account.

"

Thank you to all my compatriots who, six years ago, trusted me for the first time

," he wrote.

In his letter, the Head of State recalled his "

commitment

" and his "

responsibility

" to "

all French people, our children and the general interest

".

The president, who crystallizes the tensions and anger of part of the population, relies on proximity and listening to try to reconnect with the French.

A strategy which aims to regain control of the disputes, while several calls to demonstrate were launched as part of Emmanuel Macron's visit to Lyon, this Monday, May 8.
