The C4X - the spacious and functional family version of the familiar C4, will be offered in petrol, diesel and electric versions. The price is not low and will start from NIS 164,000, but the importer expects to sell significant quantities and has a large available inventory in Israel

For many years, Citroën had no representative in the family sedan market, once the main category in the local car market, and now a secondary category to the jeep market. According to the importer, since the cheerful days of the BX, Citroën has not had a family sedan fastback, and the launch of the new C4X now in Israel could significantly strengthen Citroën's privacy division. In any case, Citroën ended the first quarter of 2023 in Israel with sales growth of 26% and 11th place in the vehicle deliveries table in Israel.

The C4X, which now joins the model range, is the more family sedan version of the C4 that has been on the market here for nearly two years, and alongside a modern body in a fastback configuration, the design requires easy adaptation. Compared to the standard C4, this is an addition of 24 cm in length (4.6 meters), mainly contributing to a huge luggage compartment with a volume of 510 liters and improved clearance for passengers in the rear despite the identical wheelbase of 267 cm. The seating position is also high thanks to the height of 1.52 meters, which is considered relatively high compared to a family car.

The model will be marketed in one fairly rich trim level that includes: multimedia with a 10" touchscreen, reverse camera and smartphone connectivity, dual-zone digital climate control with rear air conditioning vents, electric handbrake, keyless entry and drive, digital instrument cluster, driving mode selector, electric mirror folding, 18" wheel rims, LED surround lighting, peripheral parking sensors and more. As an option, you can get a HUD head-up display and an electric sunroof. The safety equipment includes most of the advanced safety systems currently popular in the segment, but the car tested in its hatchback version has a 4-star rating in the European crash test.

The range of models includes the manufacturer's well-known engine series: a 1.2-litre 130 hp turbo petrol that delivers acceleration to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and offers a fuel consumption of 16.9 km per litre on average, and a 1.5-litre 130 hp turbo diesel that delivers acceleration to 100 km/h in 11.7 seconds and offers a fuel consumption of 22.2 km per litre on average, both with an 8-speed planetary automatic transmission. Alongside them will also be offered the e-C4X, the 100% electric version of the model that uses a 136 hp engine and offers acceleration to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds and a top speed of 150 km/h. Together with a 50 kWh battery, the model offers a relatively low driving range of 358 km between charges and support for fast charging (up to 100 kW) that allows 80% charging in just 30 minutes.
