Just hours after Prince Harry rushes to the airport to be with his family after a short visit to the coronation of Charles III, Meghan Markle goes hiking alone.
Montecito – The Duke of Sussex, 38, was photographed at London's Heathrow Airport on Saturday as he rushed aboard his plane, beaming, holding his phone and some documents. No doubt, he was in a hurry and had stormed directly from Westminster Abbey to the airport after his lightning visit of a mere 28 hours, according to the Dailymail, to quickly be with wife Meghan Markle (41) and son Archie (4), who celebrated his birthday on the day of the coronation. One can imagine how astonished the royal fans react when Meghan is spotted hiking without Harry just a few hours later without Harry.
Surprising first appearance after absenteeism at the coronation shows Meghan hiking
It was the first appearance of Meghan Markle (41) after she had canceled the coronation of King Charles III (74) and Camilla (75). She was spotted near her $14 million estate in Montecito. The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by her friends Markus Anderson and Heather Dorak for a trip to the fresh air on day two of the coronation in London, California.
In a sporty outdoor jacket from J.Crew (116 euros) with the otherwise black, skin-tight outfit, the mother of two wore a wide-brimmed hat, a cheeky pink scarf and large sunglasses from Victoria Beckham (385 euros). Blue hiking socks protruded from the brown hiking boots. Meghan wore a new necklace by designer Maya Brenner in collaboration with Abigail Spencer. The extravagant piece of jewelry called "The Clarity Retreat Necklace" was sold out immediately.
Prince Harry's blatant timing to celebrate the coronation and Archie's birthday
The lightning visit of Prince Harry (28) to London lasted a mere 38 hours. Immediately after the coronation of his father King Charles III, Harry was taken to Heathrow Airport, where he is said to have boarded a plane to Los Angeles at 15:45 p.m. (16:45 p.m. CEST), according to the Daily Mail. It landed at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in the early evening. As reported by The Sun, Prince Harry was spotted leaving the airport grounds in a Range Rover at around 19:30 p.m. local time (4:30 a.m. CEST). The drive from the airport to Montecito takes about 90 minutes – it can be assumed that birthday boy Archie was allowed to stay up late on his big day in order to be able to celebrate his 4th birthday with dad Harry.

There was no sign of Prince Harry, while Meghan Markle made her way through nature without her children. The Duchess of Sussex has known Markus and Heather for several years – Markus holds a senior position at the Soho House Private Members' Club and befriended Meghan when she was living in Toronto for the filming of the TV series "Suits". Heather has been Meghan's Pilates and yoga teacher for several years – both were often featured on Meghan's social media before she deleted her accounts due to marrying Prince Harry.
Guesswork among fans as to why Meghan set out on her own to get on her socks. Whether jet lag or crooked house blessing, however, only the two of them know. It is just as questionable what the two children Archie and Lilibet (1) are doing, while the coronation in London is slowly coming to an end on the third day after last night's coronation concert, where Charles and Camilla made a surprise appearance on "American Idol".
